This is an awesome post
My former husband was born and raised in Rincon, PR. I love the people, culture, the views of Rincon, truly a slice of paradise.
Your blogs reminded me of all that I truly love about this town. Thanks for sharing and having the courage to live your dream.
Haven't been to Rincon in a couple of years and I miss it! I used to go every year with the ex-wife and I will be returning for a visit in May. Can't wait to come back to my idea of "Paradise".

I'm hoping to revisit the island in 2009. It will be a homecoming for me. I attended Kindergarten through 4th Grade on the Island when Ramey A.F.B. existed.
Looking forwar to it.
I did a whole week surf trip all around the island when my bro got married down there in 98. Rincon was cool, Rosa's beach, aviones, I hit them all. You both are living the life; pounding medallas and Don Q; Im so jealous. You looking for a nice place to live, close to a major city, near a beach? ever hear of San Luis Obispo, CA?
Hi Emily and Marcus,
Thank you for posting your blog and all the other good stuff. My wife is Puerto Rican but has not lived there in 30 years. We plan to move there in the distant future and have chosen Rincon as the spot. I am curious as to what you guys do for work to support yourselves while living there.

OOO, Interesting story))
Love reading the blog, my friends...makes me feel as though I am still a part of your lives. I've said it to Marcus several times, but I want you to know how much I envy you and your ability to live an adventure together. Keep it up. All the best, Tim, Cindy and the girls.
Hey guys:
I just discovered this site while checking local weather for Rincon in the Weather Underground page. I've always been a weather enthusiast and was very interested to see there was a weatherstation reporting to Weather Underground. Then I was even more amazed while starting to read your story (I'm still reading July 25th 2002 blog). I am a local borned and raised in Puntas, Rincon. It has been a refreshing experience reading your story as I am always interested in understanding the motivations and conflicts that US people go through when moving to P.R.
I've always been used to see a growing US community in my "barrio"of Puntas but never really had close interactions with them.
I would love to chat with you guys someday...! In the meantime I'll keep reading your blog.

Hey Emily,
Marcus said you were looking for some flowers (I couldn't find any email address for you guys, so hopefully you read this). I've gotten some great seeds from parkseed.com and seedsofchange.com, both sites will ship to PR. Have fun!
